The Arizona Cactus Classic provided yet another juicy matchup for GU fans in the first round of tournament play. Earlier tonight former Gonzaga commit Brock Osweiler and his Portland Legends took on the multi-talented Tyler Honeycutt and the Pump N Run Elite. In a thrilling game, Pump N Run Elite edged the Legends 83-82.
Tyler Honeycutt continued his great performance in the tournament, with a solid all around display. Honeycutt, who was recently offered by Arizona, led his team with 18 points, and was also the team leader with 8 rebounds. He continued his hot scoring streak, shooting 50% from beyond the arc, and 70% for the game. Honeycutt seems to be emerging as one of the more intriguing talents in the class of 09'. Osweiler, the former Gonzaga commit, had a very good all around game, contributing 17 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.
Pump N Run Elite improved to 4-0 in the tournament so far, and will continue their tournament with a round of 16 game later tonight.
