Earlier today, GU baseball coach, Mark Machtolf, announced the promotion of Steve Bennett to full-time pitching coach. Bennett has spent the past 4 seasons as a volunteer assistant and the past 2 seasons as a volunteer assistant pitching coach under Gary Van Tol.
Over the past 2 seasons, Bennett has helped produce 5 WCC-all conference pitchers, and 2 All-Americans. Bennett was a graduate of GU in 2000, and a 4 year letter-winner for the Zags. He was drafted in the 28th round by the NY Mets after his senior season.
