Men's soccer picked 6th

Well at least the WCC coaches are consistent. Just like the women, the GU men's soccer team was picked 6th in the WCC preseason poll. Despite being an NCAA tournament participant this past season, the loss of 10 seniors has made this a rebuilding year for the Zags. Santa Clara was selected as the preseason favorite, and after last years undefeated conference season, they have earned this distinction. The Zags do return 4 starters from last years tournament team, and with the momentum of making the tournamen last season, hopefully the Zags can surprise some teams.

Here is the poll, with 1st place votes in parentheses

1) Santa Clara- 36 (6)
2) San Diego- 30 (1)
3) Portland- 25
4) USF- 20
5) Loyola Marymount- 14
6) Gonzaga- 12
7) St. Mary's- 10

I was actually confused about that as well....but from what I read, they only have a men's club team, not an official team
