It appears that the recruitment of Devonte Elliott is finally starting to take shape. Scout.com put up an interview with Devonte earlier today, and here are some of the quick facts that GU fans should know.
- At this point, GU is the only scheduled visit for Devonte. As TKR reported earlier, Devonte will be coming up for his visit on the weekend of October 4-6.
- Devonte also plans on taking visits to Nevada, George Washington, and Alabama. While he is hearing form Utah State, Devonte has not yet decided whether to visit.
- Devonte now plans on signing during the early signing period in November. He had long stated that he planned on signing during the spring, but it now seems that he will be wrapping up his recruitment earlier then planned.
So the real question is, what does this all mean for GU? TKR is very excited by this development. It is very clear that Devonte has a strong interest in GU, as we are the only visit that he has setup at this point. What will be interesting to see is if GU will be able to get Devonte to commit either during or after the visit. This will certainly be fun to follow, and TKR will keep everyone updated as Elliott's visit approaches.
