After Gonzaga ran through the field in the Old Spice Classic, it seems that the nation has taken notice of this team. Early season praise for Gonzaga is spread all across the Internet and deservedly so. After defeating Tennessee last night in Orlando, Gonzaga has risen to fifth in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
The class of the two best basketball conferences in the nation stand in front of the Zags. North Carolina, Connecticut (who Gonzaga takes on December 20th), Pitt, and Duke make up the rest of the Top 5.
Congrats to Mark Few and the staff for the early season success. The team looks to build on that ranking December 6th when they begin their torrid December against the Hoosiers of Indiana.
