As we approach another great GU basketball season, it appears that Mark Few and the rest of the staff have put together one of their most difficult non-conference schedules yet. While there are still a couple more games to be put into place, it appears that the dates and locations for 4 of the biggest games have been announced.
December 14- GU will be taking on the Arizona Wildcats. This game is much more intriguing with the return of Chase Budinger and Lute Olson, to go along with the arrival of 5 star Point Guard Brandon Jennings. The game will be played at the University of Phoenix stadium. I'm excited that the Zags will get to play here, because this is the site of the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 for the West Regional.
December 20- The Zags will take on UConn at the Battle in Seattle. This game as always will be played in Key Arena
January 7- As we announced earlier, the Zags will take on the University of Tennessee. This is a return game for the Battle in Seattle last year, and the game will be played in Knoxville.
February 7- This will be the last of the 4 game series with Memphis. The game will be played in the Spokane Arena, and there have been some rumors that this may be an ESPN College Gameday broadcast. All of the games in this series have been terrific to watch, and hopefully this is the year the Zags finally take a game.
