Coaches vs. Cancer a tremendous success
On August 22-23, Mark and Marcy Few held the annual Coaches vs. Cancer basketbBall Gala and Golf Classic in Spokane. This is the 7th year that the Fews have hosted this tremendous event, which does an outstanding job of raising awareness and funds for the battle against cancer. This year, the gala raised $595,000, with $52,000 going to scholarships for the young cancer patients.
This event is a great cause, and it really illustrates the determination that the Fews and the entire city of Spokane have to this charitable cause. Jay Bilas served as the MC at the event this year, and the Gala has become one of the best annual events in Spokane, and one of the finer charity events across the country. This highlights a great year for Mark and Marcy, as they previously received the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame Nell and John Wooden Coaching Achievement Award.
TKR sends a big thank you to the Fews, as well as the entire community of Spokane for their terrific participation in this event. Hopefully this event will continue to generate great interest and donations, and I know it makes TKR realize just how lucky we are to have Mark and Marcy involved with the Gonzaga community.
